What Information Does mySay Collect
When you use our Service, we may collect information about you including the following:- Registration Information - provided when signing up to use the Service and maintained by you, including but not limited to name, email address, phone number, password, address, date of birth;
- Profile Information - intended for display to other users including information entered on the Edit Profile page of the Service;
- Settings - preferences setup by you in the Edit Settings page in order to customise how the service works for you;
- Friends Information - this includes information about your network of people that you listen to and people that listen to you, including, their details, invitations that you send or receive and Groups that you maintain;
- Snippets - Phone Messages and audio clips sent or received by you including information visible/audible to you and information necessary for the purpose of storage and transmission of these Snippets;
- Feedback - Information, Questions or Support requests you send us about your experiences with the mySay service.
What Do We Do With The Information
This information enables us to provide the Service; deliver customer support; troubleshoot problems; resolve disputes; enforce our Terms of Service; research user demographics and behaviour; analyse information to improve the Service; inform you about service updates, and promotional offers from us where you have not Opted out of receiving such information as set out below ; verify your identity; provide additional features or services that we may develop and otherwise as set out below.
Your Phone Number and Contact Information
We will not disclose your contact details (phone number, email address) to any 3rd party business (e.g. advertiser, telemarketer) without your consent, unless we are required to do so pursuant to lawful requests, such as subpoenas or court orders, or in compliance with applicable laws.When registering, you must give us a phone number that is associated with a phone that is registered in your name or that you have permission to use for this purpose. When entering a phone number on the web site, it is checked using a verification process. This process seeks to ensure that the person providing a phone number is in possession of the phone to which that number belongs the first time the number is used with our service. In order to help prevent suspected fraudulent activity or identity theft, we may also prompt you to enter further verification details occasionally (for example year of birth, zip code) to help verify your identity. If you provide a phone number that is not yours or that you do not have permission to use we may terminate your use of the service.
Your Email Address
We will not send you unwanted e-mail messages or junk mail. However, we will use e-mail to send you messages about faults and service issues. Snippet Notifications
We may use your phone number and/or email address to send you SMS and email notifications from mySay, for example when there are messages for you to listen to. You can switch off or regulate these notifications by editing your Notification preferences.
Profiles & Snippets
When you record Snippets they may be listened to by anyone using the mySay service. If you elect to keep your Snippets private using configuration settings then only Listeners that you approve should be able to hear them. Like most messaging services, one of those Listeners (approved by you) could forward the message to someone else outside your circle of approved listeners and (just like email) there's nothing you or we can do about that. 3rd Party providersIn order to provide services mySay may need to share your information with carriers, communication service providers and/or agents, for example SIP/VOIP/PSTN gateway providers or SMS gateway service providers, payment service providers. Also you or other users may be using 3rd party Internet telephony services in conjunction with mySay. mySay cannot guarantee the security or privacy of information that you disclose or communicate in phone calls or messages and you do so at your own risk.
Advertising
We and 3rd parties may advertise to users of the service, (including for example display advertising on our website or audio advertising played during communications initiated using our service). While we may use personal information (such as age, location or usage data) to select relevant advertising to users of the Service, we do not share personal information with our advertisers or information that would allow advertisers to identify or contact you directly.
Data Storage
mySay uses industry security measures to protect the loss, misuse and confidentiality of information. This is critically important for you and for us. In the real world, no technology, security mechanism or data transmission can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so you should not commit sensitive or confidential information and storage of information and use of the Service is at your own risk. Information about you may be stored and processed in any country in which mySay and its affiliates maintain facilities. mySay reserves the right to transfer information outside of your country. By using the mySay Service you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.
Re-organisation or Change of Ownership
We reserve the right to transfer your personal information in the event of a re-organisation or transfer of ownership of mySay, such as acquisition by or merger with another company. If this results in a plan to materially change this Privacy Policy, we will notify you beforehand.
